Monitors equipped with a headphone jack can be used by connecting speakers to this jack. Please note that the monitor&apos;s USB port cannot be used to connect speakers. In addition, on some models, when using the headphone jack for sound, you need to set &quot;Headphone&quot; in the Audio &gt; Audio output menu for sound to be played through the speakers.

Connecting external speakers to my monitor

All our JAPANNEXT display products are VESA-compatible, with the exception of certain mobile monitors.However, it&apos;s important to ensure that the technical specifications of your monitor are compatible with the VESA mount you wish to use, to guarantee a safe and efficient installation. Some technical specifications you should check for the VESA mount standard:&#xA0;<ul><li>Screen size: screen size must be compatible with the VESA mounting standard. The most common screen sizes for the VESA mounting standard are 75 mm x 75 mm, 100 mm x 100 mm, 200 mm x 100 mm and 200 mm x 200 mm.</li></ul> <ul><li>Maximum supported weight : each VESA mount has a maximum weight capacity. It&apos;s important to check that the mount you buy is capable of supporting the weight of your screen.</li></ul> <ul><li>Type of mounting : the VESA mounting standard offers two types of fixation, either screw or clamp. It&apos;s important to check that your monitor is compatible with the type of mounting you wish to use.</li></ul> <ul><li>Distance between mounting holes : the VESA mounting standard specifies the distance between mounting holes. It&apos;s important to check that your screen has mounting holes compatible with the bracket you wish to use.</li></ul> <ul><li>Adjustable height : some VESA mounts offer the option of adjusting the height of the screen. If you need a specific height for your screen, it&apos;s important to check that the mount you&apos;re buying can meet this need.</li></ul> We would like to point out that we do not test other manufacturers&apos; stands, so they are not considered to be supported.

Mounting my JAPANNEXT monitor on other manufacturers' stands

Our display products do not support serial connection. Use a 1:1 connection with the input device (PC, etc.), or connect from multiple input sources for models that support multi-window functionality.

Connect multiple monitors in series

Our display products are equipped with external input ports such as HDMI, DP, USB Type-C, DVI, VGA, etc. (Note: the type and number of ports will vary depending on the model). Devices compatible with our technical support mainly include: <ul><li>Personal computers: equipped with Windows 8-11 or Mac OS (M1, Intel) manufactured by Apple.</li><li>Gaming monitors: we support the SONY PlayStation 5.</li><li>For other devices such as smartphones (iPhone, Android), tablets (iPad, Android), Chromebooks, personal computers running Linux, Raspberry Pi, set-top boxes (STB), Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Xbox, etc., we cannot support them as we have not tested their operation on each individual device.</li><li>For home appliances: DVD/BluRay players/recorders and surveillance cameras that can be connected via HDMI, etc., although the connection is technically possible, we cannot support equipment-specific issues as we have not tested their operation on each individual device.</li></ul> Please note that the connection method supported is a direct 1:1 connection using the cable supplied with the display product (or a cable of equivalent standard).

Devices that can be connected to my JAPANNEXT monitor

As for the USB (-A) port on the rear of the monitor, depending on the model, it can be used for firmware updates, keyboard and mouse connections and USB memory connections (for digital signage use). This USB (-A) port is USB 2.0 and has a very low power capacity of 5V / 0.5A / maximum 2.5W. These USB (-A) ports are not suitable to charge laptops, smartphones, etc. If you need to power your device from the monitor, please consider a monitor that supports power via USB Type-C.

JAPANNEXT displays compatible with Digital Signage can play videos and images stored on a USB stick. File formats supported by the Dynamic Display function

If you want to display the screen on an external monitor while closing the Windows laptop, you can configure this directly in Windows.If you set it up so that it doesn&apos;t go into standby when you close your laptop, it will stay on.

Using my monitor with a closed Windows laptop

Our JAPANNEXT monitors are RoHS compliant. RoHS-compliant products carry a &quot;RoHS&quot; mark on the rear label. (*RoHS Directive: Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - EU)
